High school student killed in Nashville auto accident

A high school student involved in a Nashville auto accident lost his life, WSMV reports.

He attended Hillsboro High School and is one of three students from that school who have died since 2010.

A vigil was held for the three students at a local restaurant.

Police patrol for texting and driving to prevent Nashville auto accidents

To cut down on the number of Nashville auto accidents, Metro Nashville Police now have text patrols, The Tennessean reports.

Police are driving around the Nashville area in undercover SUVs looking for people who are texting and driving to prevent Nashville auto accidents.

Tennessee is one of 30 states that has banned texting and driving to cut down on the number of auto accidents.
