Spring Weather Brings Out The Leather

With the weather becoming nicer, and with gas prices still high, more people will be riding motorcycles.  If you are a motorcycle rider, please make sure to drive safely, and be aware of the insurance coverage that you have.

Many motorcycle operators have no idea what their insurance covers, or think that their car insurance automatically covers them whether they are riding their motorcycle or driving their car.  Most of the times it does not.  With more motorcycles being on the road now, there is the chance of more wrecks occurring, and typically injuries from motorcycle wrecks tend to be severe.  Make sure you have insurance that not only provides the proper coverage, but also provides enough limits to cover serious injuries.

Leash Laws Protecting Motorcyclist

If you are injured in a car or motorcycle wreck that is caused by a dog that is in the road, you are entitled to damages from the owner of that dog, or the person in custody or control of the dog at the time of the incident.  TENNESSEE has a leash law that forbids dog owners or custodians from letting their dogs run unrestrained.  Not only are they liable for your medical bills, pain and suffering, lost wages, and other damages, but they may also be charged with a crime, the severity of which is determined by your degree of injury.
