Engulfed Semi Blocks I-40 Traffic in Hickman County
Interstate 40 in Hickman County, Tennessee, has been reopened after a tractor trailer crashed and ignited into flames around 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Tennessee Highway Patrol stated the driver of the semi crashed the vehicle into the median causing it to burst into flames. The driver suffered non-life threatening injures, and was transported to near-by Centerville Hospital.
TDOT reported damage to the interstate pavement as a result of the fiery collision, which resulted in several hours of lane closures for repairs.
