Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon and Hughes & Coleman Law Firm Create a Community Garden to Symbolize Hope for a Cancer-Free World

Hughes & Coleman and Judge Mike Buchanon joined forces with the American Cancer Society to help plant a seed of hope for cancer patients, cancer survivors, and their families across Warren County by creating a daffodil garden. Daffodils, one of the first flowers to bloom every spring, symbolize hope for a cancer free world.

The garden, which is named “Hope Blooms in Warren County,” is located at Phil Moore Park on Scottsville Road. The county agreed to donate a portion of the park for this great cause.

In conjunction with the American Cancer Society, the staff of Hughes & Coleman collected $10 donations for daffodil bulbs to be planted in October. All proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.

“I believe that most everyone has been touched by someone who has had cancer,” said J. Marshall Hughes, managing partner of Hughes & Coleman.

“The garden is a symbol of hope in our local community and the sale of daffodils will support the American Cancer Society, an organization that makes a difference in the lives of so many across our region,” added Warren County Judge Executive Mike Buchanon.

“We hope that the 'Hope Blooms In Warren County Garden' will be a place where loved ones can pay remembrance to those who have suffered from cancer and can provide hope for all cancer patients,” Hughes concluded.

It is our hope that someday cancer will be only a memory.
