keep a record of your loved one’s room number and medication
write down the names of the people you talk to at the facility and write down what they say
take photos of any injuries or signs of nursing home abuse

How to Prevent Nursing Home Abuse

Speak to the social services department of the hospital about nursing home placement.
Contact each potential facility and ask them about their safety record and safety policies.
