How Can We Help?

Carolina V. Martin

“I work to protect the rights of those who were injured while they were doing their job and I fight so that they can be properly compensated for what they go through as a consequence of their injuries.”
Carolina formerly worked as a workers’ compensation defense attorney. She soon realized she preferred to be on the side of the injured worker and joined Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers to practice workers’ compensation law on the plaintiff’s side. Carolina’s expertise and vigilance make a great addition to the H&C team.

Carolina was born and raised in the southern portion of Brazil. During her high school years, she moved to the United States with her family. Following high school, Carolina decided to pursue higher education at the State University of New York at Purchase where she graduated with a degree in legal studies. Ultimately, she received her Juris Doctor from Pace Law School in 2013. In her final year with Pace Law School, she attended Vanderbilt School of Law as a visiting student. Carolina is a first-generation college student and her family is incredibly proud of her continued success and aptitude.

After law school, Carolina moved to Tennessee and was admitted to the Tennessee State Bar in 2014. Carolina brings a refreshing amount of diversity to Hughes & Coleman. As a Brazil native, Carolina is multilingual; she’s fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

In terms of involvement, Carolina is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee Trial Lawyer’s Association and the Marion Griffith Chapter of the Law Association of Women.
