How Can We Help?

“Justice has nothing to do with what goes on in a courtroom. Justice is what comes out of a court room.”
Chris obtained a verdict of $1.2 million dollars for his client who was injured by a commercial trucking company. The initial offer, which came just prior to trial, was an offer from the defendant trucking company for only $5,000.

Chris brings over 25 years of experience to his clients, focusing on personal injury, motor vehicle negligence, premises liability, products liability and wrongful death cases.  He has helped thousands of people over the course of his career and, in the last decade alone,  recovered an excess of 19 million dollars in settlements.  He loves the challenge and responsibility of advocating for his clients to obtain the justice they seek.

Prior to joining Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers, Chris ran his own firm obtaining verdicts and settlements for injured clients.  Prior to this, he spent almost a decade practicing at Levin Papantonio, Thomas, Mitchell, Echsner and Proctor in Pensacola, Florida.  During his tenure,  he represented personal injury and wrongful death clients and successfully obtained among the highest annual total dollar amount of settlements for the firm.

Chris was active in the NW Florida legal community including the Florida Justice Association, Escambia County Bar Association, the Pensacola America Inns of Court, and the Florida Law Related Education Association’s High School Mock Trial Competition, where was a coach for the Gulf Breeze High School Mock Trial Team.   He was a sponsor of and volunteer for the Gulf Breeze High School Athletic Department football, and men’s golf and basketball programs in Gulf Breeze, Florida.  Chris looks forward to the same community outreach and involvement in Nashville.

Immediately following law school, he served as a Clerk for the Michigan Court of Appeals in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After leaving the Court of Appeals he practiced in his family firm in Kalamazoo, Michigan, for over a decade.

Chris is admitted only in Michigan and Florida – registered to practice pending admission in Tennessee Pursuant To Tenn. Sup. Ct. Rule 7, Sec. 7, in affiliation and association with Mariana Goff BPR # 31795.

He enjoys travelling with his wife, skiing, hockey, listening to music and collecting audiophile equipment.
