How Can We Help?

Garrett Knisley

“I am blessed to be in a career setting that aligns my interest in the law and my passion for helping people.”

Garrett grew up, attended high school, college and law school all in Tennessee. He is an experienced litigator and proud to represent individuals in the place he’s always called home.

Garrett is a native of Tennessee and grew up in the beautiful town of Franklin, where he was part of the inaugural class of Ravenwood High School. Following high school, he stayed true to his Tennessee roots and attended Middle Tennessee University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Garrett went on to receive his juris doctor from Belmont University College of Law in 2014, graduating with summa cum laude honors and as a member of the Law Review.

Early in his career, Garrett worked for Hughes & Coleman as an attorney from 2014 to 2015. Following his first tenure with Hughes & Coleman, Garrett spent three years at a civil litigation firm in Nashville, where his practice focused primarily on estate and trust litigation. In 2019 and 2020, he worked in government relations as a lobbyist and staff attorney for a non-profit organization advocating for improvement in public education. It wasn’t long after gaining additional legal experience that Garrett knew he wanted to return to the place that he called home and came back to work for Hughes & Coleman.

Garrett is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Maury County Bar Association. When he’s not advocating for our clients, he enjoys sports and outdoor activities, spending time with his family and watching his favorite sports teams, the Tennessee Titans and Tennessee Vols.
