Jackie grew up in a small town in Southeast Tennessee, where he spent several years of his adolescence working as a commercial fisherman. With that work proving far too demanding, he decided he might have a longer, more fruitful life pursuing his interests in the law.

After graduating third in his class from Marion County High School, Jackie attended the nearby college, University of the South. After a couple years of playing football, followed by a couple years of burying his head in the books, Jackie graduated with honors and left The Domain to head west to Memphis for law school.

In the ten years since graduating law school and passing the bar, Jackie has operated his own law firm, representing solely plaintiffs in various areas of litigation. Having wrapped up the chapter of his life as a solo practitioner, he is excited to now be able to direct all of his focus on practicing law and representing his clients at Hughes & Coleman.
