How Can We Help?

Jonathan Lawrence

“I am at my best when I am advocating for those in need. Being a personal injury attorney allows me to do just that every day.”
Jonathan joined Hughes & Coleman in 2014, adding his inventiveness and charisma into the firm’s mix. He’s set his sights on helping as many people as possible and has gained entrance into both the Tennessee and Kentucky Bar.

Jonathan has spent his entire career representing those injured by the negligence of others. Since he was admitted to the Kentucky Bar in 2012, Jonathan has fought for individuals in personal injury, social security and disability and semi-truck litigation. In 2014, he was admitted to the Tennessee Bar so that he could expand his services to a broader population of individuals.

Raised in North Carolina, Jonathan is the son of a pastor and nurse in a seven-member family. He graduated summa cum laude from Appalachian State University in 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Jonathan managed to maintain spots on the Chancellor’s and Dean’s list all throughout his college career, graduated summa cum laude and was a part of the Psychology Honor Society. Following graduation, he began attending the University of Kentucky College of Law. During the summers, he interned at the Prosecutor’s office in his hometown in Union County, NC and he also gained experience in the University of Kentucky’s Legal Clinic, providing legal assistance to the underprivileged all throughout the Lexington, KY area.

Outside of work, Jonathan enjoys spending time with his wife Christian, his son Landon and his dog Cooper. He’s heavily involved in his church, Immanuel Baptist, and loves weight-lifting, CrossFit, running and all things outdoors.
