MEANT TO PROTECT, BUT CAUSED HARM?
If you or one of your loved ones have been injured or passed away after receiving the Gardasil® vaccination, contact the team at Hughes & Coleman today.
Gardasil® was meant to protect teens and women against HPV, but instead caused some to suffer from seizures, blood clots, fainting, paralysis, Guillian-Barre Syndrome, and in some cases death.
You trusted this vaccine and allowed yourself and/or your children to receive it. Now it is time to hold the correct people responsible. Contact Hughes & Coleman now to start filing your claim.
The Gardasil® vaccine is manufactured by the pharmaceutical company Merck & Co. The FDA approved the vaccine in 2006. This vaccine was developed as a preventative vaccine to help protect against cervical cancer caused by the Human Papilloma Virus, or HPV.
HPV became a concern due to its number of strains and how easily it could be spread. Gardasil® was intended to help protect women and teens from these strains. Studies that were conducted showed 80 percent of women were exposed to some form of an HPV strain by the time they reached age 50.
The vaccine was to be provided to women starting at the age of 11, but could be administered to girls as young as 9. The problem with this vaccine is that the pharmaceutical company failed to disclose negative side effects associated with this vaccine and the harm that it could cause.
This vaccine is the only cervical cancer vaccine that is available on the market that offers to protect against the four different strains of HPV.
Merck & Co. did provide the following list of different side effects included with the vaccine and provided caregivers with information about these side effects; it is reported that many of the side effects that do occur are normal and minor.
Some of the side effects to watch out for include:
- Redness or pain at the injection site
- Nausea and vomiting
- Swelling
- Pain
- Bruising
- Fever
- Fainting
While the manufacturer does warn about the above minor and less severe side effects, the manufacturer does not warn about some of the serious side effects that the vaccine can have.
Some of the severe side effects that can stem from this vaccine include:
- Paralysis
- Blood clots
- Pulmonary embolism
- Neurological conditions
- Anaphylaxis
- Bells Palsy
- Seizures
- Guillian-Barre Syndrome
In addition, pregnant women who have had the vaccine reported that they suffered from miscarriages and babies born with birth defects. In fact, almost 50 percent of women who have the vaccine had babies born with an abnormality. It is also important to note that some women experience spontaneous abortion as well.
While the manufacturer claims that the vaccine should not be administered to women who are pregnant, there is not a mandatory test performed to ensure that a woman is NOT pregnant before the vaccine is given to her.
If you or someone you love has experienced any of the above symptoms after receiving the Gardasil® vaccine or you have had a baby with birth defects, contact the team at Hughes & Coleman today.
