Jeremy grew up in Dyersburg, TN and always had his sights set on making a difference. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA, he went on to pursue his Juris Doctor at the University of Kentucky, graduating in 2019. This journey set the path for his ability to help others through his legal work.
Before joining Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers, Jeremy began his career working for insurance companies. That experience gave him a valuable insider’s perspective. Now, he has insight as to how insurance companies evaluate claims, why they try to minimize payouts, and what it takes to push them toward fair compensation. Having once been a plaintiff in a personal injury case himself, Jeremy brings both personal and professional insight to every client he represents. He understands the frustration that victims face and isn’t afraid to use creative strategies in negotiations and in the courtroom to hold insurance companies accountable.
As a Lexington personal injury lawyer for Hughes & Coleman, Jeremy applies that experience along with his devotion to clients. He likes to stay in constant contact with his clients. Whether they’ve been injured in a car wreck or experienced a slip and fall injury at a big box store, keeping them in the loop on case updates is important to him. He sets deadlines for himself in order to give his clients the peace of mind that they haven’t been lost in the paperwork. Connecting with his clients often also helps Jeremy give his clients a voice in a legal system that can drown them out. This client-first approach helps all victims who’ve worked with Jeremy know that their case is personal to him. Their physical and financial recovery is the goal, and maximizing that recovery is his passion.
Jeremy serves as an elected member of the Fayette County Soil and Water Conservation District, a role he has been connected to since law school. Over the years, he has contributed as both an outside advisor and a board member, helping the District expand its impact. Dedicated to the well-being of its employees and the community, Jeremy works to ensure that the District’s programs reach and benefit those who need them most.
When he’s not advocating for his personal injury clients, Jeremy treasures time with his three boys: Noah, Shepard, and Reed. He’s proud to keep their home as the “fun house,” complete with ridiculous lawn ornaments that spark laughter and ensure that his children have irreplaceable childhood memories. Most weekends, you’ll find Jeremy and his family on short trips, always chasing the next adventure together.
