Tanner C. Gibson

Tanner Gibson grew up in Jackson, Tennessee. After high school, he studied History at Belmont University. While pursuing his M.Ed. at Middle Tennessee State University, he worked as an eighth grade U.S. History teacher. In 2015, Tanner earned his Juris Doctor from Vanderbilt University, and began work as a public defender.

Before becoming a Nashville personal injury lawyer, Tanner was a schoolteacher and public defender. Throughout his adult life, he has worked directly with people, educating them and protecting their rights. He’s always enjoyed work that makes a difference in people’s lives, and personal injury law is a way to be do good for others.

As soon as Tanner connects with a client, he begins preparing a trial, even if the case may end in a settlement. When he’s not fighting for his clients or in the office, Tanner spends his time volunteering for the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. He has four children, ages 7-19, and enjoys traveling with them, watching them become their own people, and watching his youngest play baseball.
