Phillip Williams

Phillip grew up in Louisville, Kentucky. After high school, he attended Novo Southeastern University, where he pursued his bachelor’s degree followed by his Juris Doctorate.

Before becoming a Louisville personal injury lawyer for Hughes & Coleman, Phillip worked with a law firm that practiced various areas of law, including criminal law, commercial litigation, probate, estate planning, and personal injury cases. It was through this experience that Phillip found his passion for helping those in their time of need as a personal injury lawyer.

Phillip believes that truly understanding his clients means going beyond the facts of their case. He takes time to speak with them on a personal level. Oftentimes, this means listening to their stories, learning who they are in their life outside of a case, and what their situation is outside of the injury they experienced. Taking all the client’s personal experiences into account along with his knowledge of various areas of law helps Phillip gauge whether a case needs to settle or proceed to litigation.

Among the cases he’s handled, he’s especially proud of the outcome he helped secure in a car wreck case that involved three plaintiffs. He was able to negotiate a fair settlement for his client and get them the recovery they deserved.

He believes that his clients deserve to have someone to fight for them. Many times, it’s difficult for clients to understand how to communicate with insurance companies or major corporations, and when clients also are unaware of their rights, they may not get the compensation they deserve without a personal injury attorney to fight for them. That is where Phillip comes in. It’s his goal to be a voice on their behalf to inform them of what they are entitled to.

Phillip’s clients find him easy to talk to and always willing to listen. He wants his clients to know that they should feel confident that they have an amazing personal injury law firm behind them.

When he’s not fighting for his clients’ rights, you can find Phillip volunteering at the Louisville Public Library, helping individuals with their legal needs. He’s a lover of music – including Drake, Kendrick Lamar, and Bruno Mars. He plays basketball and baseball, and cheers on U of L, the Lakers, and the Baltimore Ravens.
